Our History
Founded in 1974, Colorado Barricade began as a family-owned work zone safety company. Over the past 50 years, the company has expanded its services in traffic control, established a pavement marking division, a sign installation division, and created one of the largest sign fabrication shops in Colorado.
The company sold in 1999 to United Rentals and spent several years in the corporate world until the summer of 2013. With new vision and local ownership, we have established ourselves as a leader in the industry while maintaining a workforce that operates as a family. Today, Colorado Barricade continues to deliver excellence through the expertise of our workforce, competitive pricing and the quality of our customers’ experiences.
Who We Are
The state’s largest provider of special event services.
Colorado Barricade serves as a specialty contractor on infrastructure construction projects, providing work zone traffic control, pavement marking, road sign manufacturing, sales and installation services across Colorado. The company began in 1974 with one barricade truck and has enjoyed significant growth over the last 50 years. Today the company has more than 60 employees and 70 trucks to support our full-scale traffic control, striping and sign installation operations.
In addition, the company has one of the largest sign shops in the state, with digital sign printing technology and the capability to fabricate any road sign — from custom street name signs to the largest overhead highway signs.
